Government Relations

The Office of Government Relations provides strategic direction and leadership in promoting relations within State and Federal government on behalf of the University. Giving direct support to the President to advance the University’s objectives and planning initiatives, the Office of Government Relations also:

  • plays a role in policy development and planning processes;
  • monitors legislation and regulations that pertain to higher education;
  • identifies federal and state fiscal resources for which the University may be eligible for funding, and prepares the appropriate documents necessary to secure such funding and;
  • assists with coordinating any advocacy or grassroots engagement.
